It was better for everyone as Petrozahn only infects Trolorcs, so the other Gorgonites would be safe from it. Slamfist seeing that his people were ignoring the threat, would fight on their behalf if they wouldn't join the fight.
Archer, his team, and Slamfist stopped the Commandos just in time to save everyone but instead of seeing the danger, the pack instead decided to reinforce their mountain and dig deeper to avoid any surface threats. Not even a Commando Elite attack that very night on the mountain with seismic charges was enough to convince them. Unfortunately, the only way that the pack would ever go to war is if they feel their home is under threat and their arrogance will never let them see that truth in any case. Slamfist offers Archer's team a place to stay for the night and they get to hear his story and what it will take to get the Cavernust Pack to join in the fight. When Lionite leader Archer comes to recruit Trolorcs to his cause of defeating the Commando Elites, but the Cavernust reject his call as they feel that their mountain is strong enough against any force that comes to their land. Slamfist's hand took most of the exposure and being a large rock fist that has rocks continue to go up his arm to show the growing infection. Petrozahn will cause any Trolorc to slowly turn into a rock creature over time and ultimately be unable to move and then fall apart into a pile of rocks. Slamfist came from a large family within his pack but when he became infected by Petrozahn Mist, Slamfist was exiled to unstable caverns to keep the others safe from exposure. Virtually any rock can feed them, but crystals have a special taste to them. Slamfist is a Trolorc and part of the Cavernust Pack that lives deep in the mountains and mines precious rocks for food. A reimagining of Slamfist from Small Soldiers but in a fantasy setting where the Gorgonites and Commando Elites are real and not toys.
